MOWELFUND’s Social Welfare Program aims to help the marginalized and underserved movie workers, who work on a per-picture basis such as stuntmen, bit players, technicians, checkers, make-up artists, cameramen, props men, and other film crew members who do not have private insurances.
For the past 45 years, MOWELFUND has extended medical aid to more than 5,000 beneficiaries and death aid to more than 900 beneficiaries.
The Social Welfare Program provides well-deserved assistance to its members. Each member may avail of the following benefits:
A. MEDICAL HEALTH BENEFITS
B. DEATH AID
Death assistance of PhP 35,000.00 payable to dependents of beneficiaries or directly to the attending funeral parlor.
C. LIVELIHOOD PROGRAM
Alternative means of giving additional benefits to members and their beneficiaries through livelihood programs as source of additional income. Recent tie ups with Potato Corner’s and Marispure Corporation—owners of healthy and pure water, offer no franchising fee for members interested to put up their own Potato Corner’s Stalls or become distributors of healthy and pure water.
D. HOUSING PROGRAM
