Conrado Baltazar

Conrado Baltazar is a Filipino Academy of Movie Arts and Sciences (FAMAS) best cinematography awardee for the movie Salambao (Fishnet), 1964. He also received the Gawad Urian for the following: Gumising Ka Maruja, 1978, Jaguar, 1979, and Angela Markado, 1980.

The son of a set designer, Clemente Baltazar, and Perfecta Casaje was born in Quezon City on February 21, 1929. He is survived by his wife, Emiliana Gallardo, and four children, when he passed away on August  11, 1988.

In addition, well-known director Lino Brocka favoured Baltazar and worked with him in numerous films including Santiago, 1970, Tinimbang Ka Ngunit Kulang, 1974, Insiang, 1976, Rubia Servios, 1978, Ina, Kapatid, Anak, 1979, Bona, 1980, Cain at Abel, 1982, Hot Property, 1983, and Bayan Ko: Kapit Sa Patalim, 1985.
