MOWELFUND’s Social Welfare Program aims to help the indigent and
underemployed movie workers who work on a per-picture basis such as stuntmen, bit players, technicians, checkers, make-up artists, cameramen, props men, and other film crew members who do not have private insurance coverages and SSS benefits.

For the past 37 years, MOWELFUND has extended medical aid to more than 4,400 members and death aid to more than 700 beneficiaries.

The Social Welfare Program provides well-deserved assistance to its
members. Each member may avail of the following benefits:

  • Medical Aid
    PhP7,000.00 per confinement, maximum of three (3) confinements per year
  • Surgical Aid
    PhP12,000.00 per confinement, maximum of one (1) confinement per year
  • Continuing Medication
    PhP3,000.00 cost of medicines given once a year
  • Annual Free Clinic Day
    In its anniversary every March, a Free Clinic Day for beneficiaries and their families is conducted providing free medical and dental services, with fun and games for their children.View more photos
PhP25,000.00 payable to beneficiary’s dependents or directly to the attending funeral parlor.View more photos
Alternative means of giving additional benefits to members and their
beneficiaries through seminars and trainings on various livelihood programs as source of additional income such as: Basic Computer Literacy, Basic Hair Cutting, Reflexology, Food Processing, Food Cooking, Candle Making, Food Cart Business, Cleansing Liquids Production, etc. View more photos
The Mowelfund initial housing project is located at Monterey Hills Subdivision,
Silangan, San Mateo, Rizal. The lot which consists of 780 sq. m. was donated by Mr. & Mrs. Pedro ‘Pete’ Roa and family to Mowelfund for the welfare of its
